The Chicago Fire have made a huge push to get U.S. green cards for the club’s international players under owner Joe Mansueto, and another one has come through.
This time it’s midfielder Alvaro Medran. As we told you last week he was missing from training camp in Bridgeview because he’d been approved for a green card, and was waiting to receive his passport so he could enter the U.S.
Medran traveled straight from Spain to the team’s training camp hotel Orlando, Fla., and will be able to participate in full team training in one week—next Sunday—after his quarantine is over.
