BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (Aug. 19, 2017) – The Chicago Fire fell 3-1 against MLS Supporters’ Shield leaders Toronto FC on Saturday at Toyota Park, snapping Chicago’s club record nine-game home winning streak.
The match drew the largest crowd in for a Fire game at Toyota Park with 21,891 in attendance. The Fire rallied to tie the game at 1-1 early in the second half after Toronto FC led at the break. However, the defending Eastern Conference champions found the eventual game-winner 9 minutes later and added insurance with a 90th-minute strike from Sebastian Giovinco.
