Chicago Fire Fall 2-1 on the Road to Vancouver Whitecaps FC

VANCOUVER (May 11, 2016) – The Chicago Fire (1-3-4, seven points) fell 2-1 to the Vancouver Whitecaps (5-5-2, 17 points) on Wednesday evening at BC Place.

The Whitecaps got on the board first in the 36th minute when Blas Perez tapped in his right-footed shot from close range for the lead.

Kennedy Igboananike drew the Fire level in the 61st minute. Homegrown rookie forward Joey Calistri collected a pass from Razvan Cocis and played it back to Arturo Alvarez. The Salvadoran international found Igboananike out on the right flank just outside the 18-yard box.
