BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (Oct. 16, 2016) – The Chicago Fire won their 2016 home finale 2-1 against the New England Revolution on Sunday at Toyota Park.
Michael de Leeuw struck first nine minutes into the first half, but the Revolution answered two minutes before the halftime whistle. David Accam netted the game-winner in the 80th minute with both teams playing with 10 men due to separate red cards.
Chicago took an early lead thanks to a classy finish from de Leeuw. David Accam eluded a defender near the box and then slipped a pass to Brandon Vincent on the left.
