After a memorable week of activities and community involvement leading up to the main event, the city of Chicago played host to the 2017 MLS All-Star Game at Soldier Field in early August. The Fire were represented by captain Bastian Schweinsteiger, Dax McCarty, Nemanja Nikolic, and Johan Kappelhof -- as well as the first team staff led by head coach Veljko Paunovic -- against La Liga powerhouses Real Madrid.
