General manager Nelson Rodriguez continues his relentless pursuit to improve last year's leaky defense by bringing in the young Rodrigo Ramos to compete for minutes at right back.
There is another new face on the Fire back line.
The Chicago Fire announced the signing of Brazilian U-20 defender Rodrigo Ramos Wednesday, adding to the ever-growing stable of defenders for the Men in Red. Ramos is coming to Chicago on a one-year loan deal from Coritiba of Brazil's top flight. Whether there is an option to buy at the end of the loan is unknown.
Ramos is a pretty big unknown with only nine professional appearances for Coritiba and two appearances off the bench for Brazil's Under-20 team during the World Cup.
