Chicago Fire Acquire $1.2 Million in Allocation Money from Philadelphia Union

CHICAGO (Jan. 19, 2018) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced Friday that the club has acquired a combined $1.2 million in allocation money from the Philadelphia Union in exchange for David Accam. The Fire received $900,000 in Targeted Allocation Money, $400,000 in 2018 and $500,000 in 2019, and General Allocation Money, $200,000 in 2018 and $100,000 in 2019.

The Fire acquired Accam on Dec. 19, 2014 from Swedish side Helsingborgs IF. The two-time Fire MVP and Golden Boot winner appeared in a total of 78 league matches for the Men in Red, scoring 33 goals and adding 15 assists.
