The Chicago Fire Academy enjoyed a successful weekend against local side FC United, winning five matches across five age levels and sending its Under-15, Under-17, and Under-19 teams to the 2019 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Playoffs in the process.
Held in Oceanside, CA, the 2019 USSDA Summer Showcase and Playoffs will run from June 17-29, with the ensuing 2019 Championship taking place in Irvine, CA July 8-11.
The Fire U-13s started the weekend strong and set a high bar for their older counterparts on Saturday morning with a 5-2 win via an Aiden Frick hat trick and goals from Makhi Francis and Nicholas Mitrega.
