Chicago Fire FC captain Francisco Calvo got the start for his native Costa Rica in Los Ticos' 0-0 friendly draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday.
In Costa Rica's first of two warmups for June's Concacaf Nations League final four, Calvo put in a 90-minute shift in central defense and helped keep a clean sheet at Bilino Polje Stadium in Sarajevo.
The appearance was Calvo's first of 2021 for Costa Rica, having last represented his country in their final two matches of 2020 -- a 1-1 tie against Qatar on Nov. 13 and a 2-1 loss to Euskadi (Basque Country) on Nov.
