The Chicago Fire U-18 and U-16 Academy teams traveled to Minnesota this weekend to take on the Minnesota Thunder and Shattuck-Saint Mary's in USSDA play.
An Edson Murguia penalty kick led the U-18s to a 1-0 win over the Minnesota Thunder on Saturday, but the Fire were on the reverse end of a 1-0 decision on Sunday in a loss to Shattuck-Saint Mary's. The Fire's 1.72 points per game (9-5-4, 31 points) have them in fifth place in the Mid-America Division with six matches remaining in the 2015-16 regular season.
