There apparently is no minimum age to being a Cubs critic.
A video posted by TMZ Sports this weekend showed a young fan attending the Cubs Convention calling team chairman Tom Ricketts the cheapest owner in baseball.
Ricketts then asked who the boy’s father was, apparently assuming an adult put the kid up to issuing the insult. The video cuts off before we see how the interaction ended.
Cubs fans have regularly criticized Ricketts for not putting enough money into the team’s roster. That criticism ramped up after the Dodgers and Mets made big splashes in the free-agent market this offseason.
