The Cubs have traded OF Alexander Canario to the Mets for cash considerations, sources tell ESPN. Canario, 24, was DFA’d by the Cubs last week.

Well. This isn’t the deal many Cubs fans hoped would happen, with perhaps Canario included in a larger deal that would bring some starting pitching to the North Side.
