Last week, after the MLB Winter Meetings concluded without the Cubs making any significant moves. many of us wondered if President of Baseball Operations Jed Hoyer would do anything major.
I wrote an article basically wondering about that Friday morning.
Just a few hours later, Hoyer and the Cubs completed a major trade, acquiring Kyle Tucker from the Astros for Isaac Paredes, Hayden Wesneski and Cam Smith.
No, I’m not going to try to take any credit for spurring Hoyer to make this trade. Would be fun to think that, though.
In any case, this deal has shaken up the NL Central.
