Late Thursday, Jeff Passan posted this 3,000-word epic that’s mostly about the Dodgers’ pursuit of Roki Sasaki.
It’s worth reading for that alone, but Passan also touches on whether what the Dodgers are doing is good for the sport, and adds a few things about the Cubs and comments made over the weekend by team chairman Tom Ricketts.
So what I thought I’d do — since you can read the Sasaki stuff yourself, the article isn’t paywalled — is go through portions I think are relevant to us as Cubs and baseball fans, and add my thoughts.
