Seiya Suzuki has struggled to start the 2025 season, entering Sunday’s game with a .095 batting average and a .279 OPS over 21 at-bats. However, he boosted his average to .130 during the series finale in Arizona, blasting his first home run of the season, along with a single from earlier in the game.

Suzuki hit 21 home runs in 2024, finishing with an .848 OPS, which ranked 18th in baseball.
