Kris Bryant extended his on base streak to 16 games with a walk earlier in the game on Monday night, and he continued his upward trend at the plate with a long home run onto Waveland Avenue in the ninth inning. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to prevent the Cubs from dropping the opener with Miami, but KB ripping home runs onto Waveland is definitely a wonderful sign of things to come. Kris is now up to an .850 OPS and a 129 wRC+ on the season.
