Even though Joe Maddon spiked the ceremonial first pitch twice, I was actually impressed with his throwing mechanics. Just look at Joe’s loose arm action and hip action. Those are the mechanics of an athlete, folks.
Plus, Joe was throwing sinkers, as he said in the video. It’s up to the catcher to block those.
