Jake Arrieta will always have a special place in the hearts of Cubs fans. And as cheesy at that sounds, it couldn’t be more accurate. He came to the Cubs via one of the most significant and lopsided trades in the history of the organization. Arrieta and Pedro Strop came over from Baltimore in July of 2013 in exchange for Scott Feldman and Steve Clevenger. The rest is glorious history.
And now that Arrieta’s time in Chicago has come to the end of the road, we thought we’d put together a nice tribute for the man who helped the Cubs win their first World Series in 108 years.
