The last time we heard about an issue involving a Chicago starting pitcher, throwback jerseys, and cutting, it resulted in Chris Sale being sent home. Eddie Butler’s issue wasn’t actually with the jerseys the Cubs were wearing — an homage to the Leland Giants of the Negro Leagues — but rather with the sleeves of his white undershirt that wouldn’t stay concealed under the jersey.
