The Cubs trailed 1-0 after one inning of play in Houston, but the bottom portion of the order was quick to reverse that in the second. Jason Heyward, Addison Russell, and David Bote each hit solo-homers, with Heyward and Russell going back-to-back. The dinger trio put the Cubs up 3-1 after 1.5 innings against Astros starter Corbin Martin.
