Among all the other awesomeness it embodies, one of my favorite aspects of the World Baseball Classic is seeing old dudes out there angling for one last shot at glory. Thursday’s action saw former Cub Ryan Dempster leading Team Canada against a stacked Dominican Republic team that featured another former Cub, Welington Castillo.
Demp went only two innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, the biggest of which was an opposite-field shot from from his one-time batterymate.

Huh, this looks oddly similar to the last time we saw the glove-twitching, Will Ferrell-impersonating Canadian in action.
