The Cubs lost five of seven since the last update in this series, got shut out twice, scored one run another time (and won that game!) and all told were outscored 27-17 over the seven games.
Now, allowing 27 runs in seven games is only 3.86 per game — that’s pretty good, and if the Cubs had an offense that could actually generate runs, many teams could win four or five out of seven allowing that many runs.
But they didn’t. Nevertheless, I’m going to do my best to find three good things from the past week of Cubs games.
