The Cubs have played six games since the last update in this series.
They went 3-3 over those six games. So, yay?
Let’s put it this way. Between May 13 and the first game we’re covering in this update, the Cubs went 5-14.
So 3-3 is definitely an improvement over that, even though with some more timely hitting the Cubs might have had a 5-1 week.
Still, there are signs of life. Let’s look at some of them.

Swanson spent some time on the injured list with a knee issue, then came back (as he did last year after an injury) without a rehab assignment.
