Three up, three down: An update on the Cubs, June 10 edition

The Cubs have played six games since the last update in this series.

They went 3-3 over those six games. So, yay?

Let’s put it this way. Between May 13 and the first game we’re covering in this update, the Cubs went 5-14.

So 3-3 is definitely an improvement over that, even though with some more timely hitting the Cubs might have had a 5-1 week.

Still, there are signs of life. Let’s look at some of them.

Dansby Swanson is finally starting to hit

Swanson spent some time on the injured list with a knee issue, then came back (as he did last year after an injury) without a rehab assignment.
