The Cubs just completed a 2-5 road trip which wrapped up an 11-16 June. This came on the heels of a 10-18 May, so since the end of April this team is 21-34. That’s a .382 winning percentage that’s the equivalent of a 62-100 season.
Nevertheless, I went out and found three positive things from the last week. Trust me, it was not easy.

Hey, look, there’s Nico Hoerner’s bat!
After struggling for much of the season, Hoerner batted .345/.406/.552 (10-for-29) with two home runs on the road trip. The first home run, in San Francisco on Thursday, was Nico’s first since May 11.
