Three Questions with Joe Maddon

Cubs manager Joe Maddon talks a lot. Like every manager, he talks to reporters twice a day, before a game and after a game. At home games, he’s hit with a barrage of big picture questions and fawning praise. He also has a weekly radio hit on the Score, the Cubs’ flagship station, and he does regular taped pre-game interviews with the radio broadcast team. So Maddon, a natural storyteller, has to spin yarns to fill the time. One way he does that is harkening back to his days as a minor league player, manager and roving instructor. He basically has a minor league anecdote for every situation that pops up with the Cubs.
