Cubs TV analyst Jim Deshaies is wrapping up his fourth season with broadcast partner Len Kasper on the North Side. Deshaies spent the previous 16 years holding the same role in Houston and before that played parts of a dozen seasons as a pitcher in the big leagues for six different teams, primarily the Astros. Known as J.D., Deshaies has proven to be a perfect partner with Kasper in the booth, adding a similar dry sense of humor.
Heading into the final month of the season, we thought it’d be nice to get some perspective from a former pitcher turned numbers-oriented analyst.
