It’s no secret that the Chicago Cubs, despite actually being a good team and having a good record, are struggling. I’ve grown tired of having to talk people off the ledge, so I’m not going to bother much anymore because it’s not worth it. I mean, it’s not like the other 29 teams haven’t already had worse stretches than the Cubs already, right? And if you’re stuck in “small sample” land, maybe you’ll recall that Mike Quade went 24-13 on a really bad 2010 Cubs team before that same really bad Cubs team went 71-91 the following season and he got fired.
