MESA, Ariz. — Cubs catcher Miguel Montero is watching this season of “The Bachelor” for the right reason. It’s on TV.
Let’s just say he’s not a big fan of the current iteration of the popular ABC reality show, which is starring Nick Viall as the would-be lothario.
“I think it’s one of the worst seasons I’ve seen so far,” Montero said Tuesday morning. “But I still watch it because I got nothing else to watch on Monday night, right?”
On Tuesday morning, the Cubs catcher was loudly informing his teammates and reporters in the Sloan Park clubhouse on what his strategy would be as the Bachelor if his wife would grant him a one-year respite so he could go on the show.
