Welcome to August! The trade deadline is done. Well, the easy one–there will still be some waiver deals to come, but when your team has a pretty good record, not many good players are going to fall to you there. So, aside from players shuttling up and down from Iowa, coming off the DL, and rosters expanding in a month, this is your Cubs roster the rest of the way. The rumour mill wasn’t as…active this year as in the past, or maybe I was paying a lot more attention than I used to, but there wasn’t ever any crazy talk–no 3+-team deals being considered, or 5-player swaps.
