Cubs Tender a Contract to Russell
If you missed the news yesterday, the Cubs had to determine which players they would tender / non-tender a contract to. There was some debate on what they would do with Addison Russell and we got our answer with a dual statement from both Russell and Epstein.
I go back and forth on my thoughts on the matter. I would hope that Russell is doing the things he says he is doing and that, as a result, he’ll be a better man. However, I could also see the Cubs distancing him from the situation as well.
