The Cubs announce their 2025 major league coaching staff

Al Yellon created Bleed Cubbie Blue and has been its managing editor since 2005. He's also written three books about the Cubs, the latest is "Chicago Cubs Firsts."

The Cubs officially announced their 2025 coaching staff, to work with manager Craig Counsell, Monday morning.

Three new hires had previously become known, though not official: Casey Jacobson as assistant pitching coach, Quintin Berry as third-base coach and Jose Javier as first-base coach.

In addition, there are the following changes from the 2024 staff: A.J. Lewis will be the staff assistant and Mark Strittmatter will move to bullpen coach, replacing Darren Holmes, who was let go.
