ST. LOUIS -- With a chance to eat into the St. Louis Cardinals' lead in the NL Central, the upstart Chicago Cubs came up short, blowing a late 2-1 lead. But how much of that is on the Cubs, and how much of it is on a Cardinals team that improved to an incredible 42-15 when facing a right-handed starter and 49-24 overall after Friday night's 3-2 win in 10 innings?
