The A’s want to move to Las Vegas... and then want to play some home games NOT in Las Vegas

You know I’ve long been skeptical about the Oakland Athletics’ proposed move to Las Vegas, which is going to be at least three years away. They say 2028, but... who really knows? All we know now is that the A’s are planning to play their next three seasons (and maybe more) in Sacramento. (FWIW, that means a Cubs trip to Sacramento in 2025, as the A’s are going to play in Wrigley this September.)

Today, Howard Stutz of the Las Vegas Independent writes that the A’s are asking to play eight games (that’s 10 percent of their home schedule) away from Las Vegas:
