The annual preseason PECOTA ranking says the Cubs will win 90 games

Baseball Prospectus’ annual PECOTA standings ranking has appeared for the first time on their site for 2025.

And not only do they have the Cubs winning 90 games, they’ve got them comfortably winning the NL Central.

Now, I’m generally an optimist and yes, I believe this year’s Cubs team is better than last year’s.
