As is usually the case against not-so-good teams these days, the Chicago Cubs triumphed yet again, and in doing so, set another record:

I never actually anticipated this, but with the recent trend in strikeouts going up I guess it isn’t surprising. It does harken back to the 2003 Cubs rotation which had healthy versions of Kerry Wood, Carlos Zambrano, Mark Prior, and Matt Clement mowing down opposing batters like crazy.
