Jake Arrieta struggled with his command and lasted only five innings. The Cardinals scored a pair of runs off Arrieta when the defense failed to turn a double play. The Cardinals pounced on the Cubs’ bullpen and finished off the franchise’s first three-game sweep at Wrigley since 1988 with a convincing win over the Cubs.
The Cubs came up short in the first two games of the series. But that was not the case Wednesday.
