Start of Cubs' home opener moved to 2:20 CT

CHICAGO -- The Cubs have shifted the start of this afternoon's home opener against the Pirates to 2:20 p.m. CT to allow for field preparation following overnight snow showers that continued into the morning.

Gates will open at 12:20 p.m. and opening ceremonies are expected to begin at approximately 1:45 p.m.

Somehow, Shohei Ohtani continues to not only live up to the hype, but exceed it.

Ohtani made his Angel Stadium pitching debut on Sunday -- and he was nearly perfect. In just his second career MLB start, Ohtani carried a perfect game into the seventh inning against the A's, before Marcus Semien finally broke up the bid with a one-out single.
