SAN FRANCISCO -- Time to take a breath.
The Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants get the day off Sunday in their best-of-five playoff series to regroup -- or perhaps in the Giants' case, lick their wounds as they return home in an 0-2 hole.
As much as we know anything can happen in the postseason, the first two games have pretty much gone the way of the regular season: The Cubs have outpitched their opponent. This is no surprise; in fact, it was immensely predictable. They were the best team on the mound all year, and manager Joe Maddon was able to rest and set up his entire staff exactly the way he wanted.
