BOSTON – If you’re going to be in a funk on a road trip, there are worse places to be than Fenway Park.
“It’s beautiful,” Cubs left fielder Kyle Schwarber said. “That’s kind of like that bucket-list stadium that you want to cross off and play at. Whenever you get to play here, it’s really cool.”
The Cubs’ leadoff man was all smiles after the Cubs’ 7-4 win over the Boston Red Sox on Saturday. But coming into the game he’d managed just three hits – all singles — in his last 24 at-bats. He came into Saturday with the difficult task of trying to hit Steven Wright and his knuckleball.
