In what amounts to what is (not) the biggest surprise of the offseason, Roki Sasaki has officially signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Cubs were reportedly eliminated earlier this week, along with most of the teams who were in the running. Jeff Passan reported that the only three teams left were the Dodgers, Padres, and Blue Jays.
While the Blue Jays made some sense, I start to wonder why they are always in the running for good players but never end up landing them. We saw the same thing with Shohei Ohtani, although reports of Ohtani visiting the city of Toronto messed with people’s opinions.
