Well, that was... interesting.

Monday, the Cubs bullpen was just this side of horrific. And so, roster changes were made in an effort to bolster said bullpen.

And, after some sketchy defense forced the pen to throw an inning more than they should, all the Cubs relievers came through, holding the Padres down for five innings. The Cubs found just enough offense to defeat San Diego 2-1 in 10 innings, winning their first extra-inning game of 2025, in so doing giving the Padres their first home loss of the season.
