The blast is Schwarber's longest in the Statcast™ era and also the longest by a Cubs player this season. Previously, Schwarber's two longest homers came during the 2015 postseason. He tagged Matt Harvey with a 459-foot blast in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series against the Mets at Citi Field, topping a 450-footer off Pittsburgh's Gerrit Cole in the NL Wild Card Game.
His previous longest shot during the regular season was a 448-foot blast, one of two home runs off Philadelphia's Alec Asher.
