Schwarber, Bryant and Two-Out Runs Knock Off the Reds – Cubs 5, Reds 4

Game One Hundred Thirty-One – Cubs 5, Reds 4

WP – Fernando Rodney (1-0, 6-5) LP – Burke Badenhop (1-4, BS 2) Save – Hector Rondon (25)

Kyle Schwarber stepped in with two outs, Dexter Fowler on first base and the Cubs down 4-3 in the seventh inning. Schwarber annihilated a 3-2 pitch from Reds’ reliever Burke Badenhop. The ball ended up in the left center field bleacher in a hurry after traveling 432 feet. And the Cubs beat the Reds on Tuesday night at the old ballyard.

The Cubs played from behind all night and did not take their first lead until the seventh inning.
