The Cubs legend resigned from his post as Phillies manager Friday afternoon:
Ryne Sandberg has resigned as manager of the Phillies. Pete Mackanin will serve as interim manager.

Sandberg was 119-159 with the Phillies since taking over as manager late in the 2013 season.
