Outfielder Ryan Kalish cleared waivers, accepted assignment to Triple-A Iowa
The Cubs posted Sunday afternoon that outfielder Ryan Kalish cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Iowa. According to Carrie Muskat, Kalish will report to the I-Cubs.
Ryan Kalish was designated for assignment Saturday to make room for Miguel Montero on the 25-man roster. The Cubs cleared a spot on the 40-man roster with the decision to send out Kalish. The Cubs’ 40-man roster officially stands at 39 players.
Ryan Kalish played in seven games for the Cubs after his contract was selected from Triple-A Iowa on May 3.
