Former Cubs right-hander Ryan Dempster remembers the joy of sitting in a hotel room with his teammates, laughing and telling stories during his 15-year career as a major-league pitcher.
He said he loves discussing the odd things that happen in professional athletes’ lives. His “Off the Mound” late-night talk show event gives him the chance to dive into those stories.
Dempster debuted “Off the Mound” in August 2018. It will return Saturday at Park West, 322 W. Armitage Ave.
Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo, former Cubs outfielder Moises Alou, former Blackhawks forward Jeremy Roenick and Chicago comedian Jeff Garlin are the featured guests.
