CHICAGO -- With the Cubs lineup scuffling recently, Anthony Rizzo was moved back into the cleanup spot after batting leadoff in each of his last 27 starts. Just as he had done hitting first, Rizzo provided the spark for his team on Wednesday at Wrigley Field.
Rizzo lined an 0-1 fastball into the basket left-center field for a two-run homer, his 18th of the season, to give the Cubs a 2-0 lead over the Brewers in the bottom of the first. David Bote, in his first at-bat since the walk-off grand slam Sunday night, was on first after reaching on a two-out single.
