MILWAUKEE -- Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo had to leave Tuesday night's game against the Brewers after he sustained a contusion when he fouled a pitch off his right foot in the third inning.
X-rays of Rizzo's foot were negative.
Rizzo was hit by a pitch in the first inning and stayed in the game. In the third, he grounded out to first baseman Jesus Aguilar. Rizzo was lifted after the sixth inning in a double-switch and the Cubs trailing, 3-1.
