If any of the players remaining from the Cubs’ World Series championship core left the team, it wouldn’t be as stunning as this departure.
According to The Athletic, Cubs TV voice Len Kasper is leaving to fill the vacant play-by-play spot in the White Sox’ radio booth. Kasper, who has been with the Cubs for 16 years, will join analyst Darrin Jackson on the Sox’ new home, ESPN 1000.
The Athletic also reported that Fox Sports’ Chris Myers is a top candidate to replace Kasper next to analyst Jim Deshaies in the Cubs’ booth on Marquee Sports Network.
