Albert Almora Jr. has a strong internal compass in the outfield. But there he was still finding his bearings last Friday morning in the new Cubs clubhouse.
“First day and I’m already lost,” he said to no one in particular as the media buzzed around the spacious locker room.
The sprawling underground compound, which is tougher to navigate than Wrigley Field’s right field on a windy day., is confusing for any new visitor.
“I got a tour of it, but you get lost easy in here,” he told me later at his locker. “This is great.
